I understand your statements about being uncomfortable if you had a gun. Whether or not it is "normal" is too much a personal decision to be discussed here. I accept your statement that you think it is not normal.
Also that man wouldnt have been dead if there were no guns, but maybe he would have been alive if he had one, noone knows, cause he didnt have. Anyway this is the only killing in my city for the last 3 years, its quite peaceful.
I agree with you that no one can know how the murder you mentioned MIGHT have turned out if there had been different circumstances. However, it has been proven many times that those who wish to kill will find a way to kill whether or not a gun is available. Soldiers captured by an enemy force have found ways to overpower their captors and kill them. Criminals in prison have killed many guards (and others) in their escape attempts. I'm curious. Do you believe that it is possible to eliminate the existence of ALL guns? What would the police or military use?

I was just asking for your opinion on a war that most Americans think was justified. You still have a right to an opinion. Do you think it was justified?
I dont know anyone who used it in selfdefence.
I have known several people who have used a gun in self defense. I have read stories about many others who have used a gun in self defense. I have also read many stories about people who were murdered (like the one you mentioned) because they did not have any means of defending themselves against a madman.
A question, do you have a gun ?
Yes, I have several in my home. Until recently almost all of them were hunting rifles. I stopped hunting many years ago but have not sold any of them. This past year I added two handguns for personal defense.
